Chief physician and administrator of the Miragoon Leprosarium. Tall, narrow-shouldered, soft-featured — in this godforsaken place he has come to be regarded almost as the Almighty, and the reforms that made his name awakened peculiar qualities in him.
Dr. Erwin Sabo runs the Miragoon Leprosarium — a remote institution at the edge of the habitable world. He is a tall man, narrow in the shoulders, with soft facial features that read as gentle until you watch him long enough. Zara places him as Eastern European, perhaps Hungarian or Slovak.

Chief physician and administrator of the Miragoon Leprosarium. The man who runs a place the world prefers to forget — and likes that no one watches too closely.
Symposium invitations, deference, the title of almost-Almighty. The reforms that elevated him also hollowed out whatever physician he used to be.
His faithful deputy Aloise Beckim coordinates beneath him. The long, tangled history between them is not the loyalty he presents it as.
“Remember, I told you, those Muvon barges should have been scrapped a long time ago!”
